Additional Details

scarce first edition of an adaptation of the Passion narrative for a lay audience combining hymn and Bible verses with illustrations mostly by Solis after Dürer's Little Woodcut Passion. Though his Passional was presumably influenced by Luther's, the theologian and controversialist Franck (1543-84) had converted to Catholicism in 1568. VD16 F 2055. Not in NUC; OCLC records copies at Augsburg, Neuburg an der Donau, and 2 in Munich; KVK locates one more in Vienna.
